The JBA Y62 Patrol tailgate LED offers a sleek, factory fit option for lighting in the rear cargo area of your vehicle. The 40W Tailgate LED comes as standard in Dual Amber/White output and JBA also offer a 30 degree 10W upgrade (50W total) option to further light up the rear boot area inside the car. This 30 degree upgrade option is brilliant if you have a drawer system. 
 
JBA also offer a number of installation options including switching and power source variants. If you purchase any kit with JBA switching and power source together, all required items such as extension wires etc will come in this kit. If you are planning on using your own power source such as an auxiliary battery or your own switching, JBA has optional items you can purchase if desired to make install easier. Please carefully read the following notes below to see which option suits the best for your application.  
 
JBA offer 3 different switching options. Please refer to the following notes for each option. 
 
3 way 19mm toggle switch- the JBA wiring kit included is for fitment into the tailgate as shown in the pictures above. JBA suggest 2 locations in the tailgate either next to the LED (is exposed to items potentially knocking in the boot area) or up near the glass. If you want to fit the switch into the vehicle rear boot area or a drawer front, JBA offer a 3 metre DT plug extension JBA-LBWH8 can be purchased to make installation easier.
Factory style switch in the tailgate handle- This switching option does require modification to the factory tailgate handle and the handle will no longer able to be used as a handle. Refer to instructions below for full information on this step. 
Factory style switch on drawer front- This switching option includes the JBA-LBWH8 extension included in the kit and does not need to be purchased separately. 
No switch included- If you will be using your own switching ensure that the switch is rated to 3A or above and refer to the notes below if you are using any JBA wiring options. JBA also suggest you purchase the JBA-LBWH8 3 metre DT plug extension to make installation easier. 
 
JBA also offer 2 different power wiring options. Please refer to the following notes for each option.
 
No power wire- Where a JBA switching variant is selected with no power wire option, JBA include a 3 metre power extension JBA-LBWH7. This is a 3 metre positive and negative extension with a plug on one end that will connect to any of the JBA switching options selected above and is non terminated on the other end for connection to your own power source such as an auxiliary battery. If the JBA switching option you are selcting is in the tailgate, this will extend to approx the rear jack area and may need further extension once inside the vehicle. If you do not also select a switching option, you will only get a short 10cm tail from the LED and need to hard join and extend to your own desired length and location. 
Factory power patch harness- The JBA factory power patch harness connects to power inside the tailgate. You can utlise this power harness with your own switching option and JBA will provide a 3 metre extension JBA-LBWH5 to exnetnd to the switch location chosed. If you purchase the JBA kit with switching, it will come with all extensions required.
