About Us

JBA are the initials of our family Jason, Belinda and Alex. JBA was started in 2020 after Jason kept finding gaps in the market for certain products that enabled different accessories to be installed neatly and look good at the same time.

Jason has a fairly extensive background within the 4WD industry having spent his initial 15 years in what was then Black Widow Storage Systems, a business started by his parents in 1999. At the time, Jason was finishing high school and worked after school and weekends in the fledgling business.

Over the following years Jason took over as Operations Manager overseeing all aspects of manufacturing, production and quality while completing his Bachelor in Business and an MBA. As this was happening, the family decided to open two TJM stores in Sunbury and Ballarat.

 

Unfortunately, due to a number of factors, Black Widow and TJM Ballarat were forced to cease operations and Jason took over TJM Sunbury full time with Belinda in 2015. During this time, we grew the business and really got our teeth stuck into the retail sales side of the 4WD industry. 

 

In 2018, we decided to close TJM Sunbury which was a very difficult decision but a decision based on being able to spend more time with Alex who very rarely got to see us with the pressures and demands of running a small business.

Jason currently works at TJM in Airport West as retail Sales Manager and has enjoyed expanding the business with a focus on large custom builds. Jason has identified a need to come up solutions that complete such large builds and do them justice by making customised parts to finish them off with a high level of detail.

After seeing other TJM stores needed the same gaps filled, JBA was born and utilsing all the skills, lessons and experience gained over the last 20 years, we cant wait to see where the next chapter takes us.
